Description
made by Simeon North of Middletown, Connecticut, c. 1817 – 1820. A total of 19,374 were manufactured.
It is a .54 caliber, smooth-bore, 9-1/16″ round barrel: brass blade front sight on forward strap of the double barrel band. Overall length is 15-1/4″. It has a hickory ramrod. The markings on the lock are of the earlier type. The barrel is stamped P over US.
